In January, the Ullr Club resumed their planned ski outings to Afton Alps, Welch Village and Buck Hill. To date, we’ve also had hike/snowshoeing events at Cleary Lake, Richardson Nature Center, Theodore Wirth, Eastman Nature Center and Gale Woods Farm. The latter two were sunny days – it was great to get out and enjoy the relative warmth after our long February cold spell. We have more hiking/SS scheduled into May when the Ullr biking program begins.

The Ullr Board is hopeful Covid -19 is becoming more controlled, so have scheduled two General Meetings at the Bloomington Event Center – April 22 and May 20, 2021 at 7 PM. The May 20th date will include a Bingo & raffle fundraiser for the Ullr Foundation (raise money to donate to organizations that provide help and sport activities for handicapped youth and adults).
We also have reserved the Brookview Picnic Shelter in Golden Valley for our summer picnics. The June (9 & 23) and July (7 & 21) dates will be NOON gatherings – a first. The August 4th and 18th picnic dates start at 5 PM.
Ullrs will have two multi-day trips this summer. We are taking sign-ups for Nisswa – The Good Ol’ Days Resort June 1 – 4, and a Lanesboro Bike and Golf trip scheduled for August 22-23.
The Ullr Club plans to stay with the re-scheduled date of Sunday, August 29, 2021 for the Ullr 70th Anniversary Celebration at the Minnesota Valley Country Club.
