July 5th is the date for the 2026 edition of Ride Hiawatha, a primo summertime community bicycling event. The starting location is Luce Line Brewing in Plymouth, 12901 16th Ave N.
Register for the ride here: https://www.bikereg.com/ride-hiawatha-2026 The fee is $60.00.
There are four routes this year. In addition to the 20-mile, 40-mile and 60-mile options there will also be a 12-mile family-oriented ride to get moms/dads/grandparents and kids out on the trail. Also, you don’t need to bring a kid to enjoy the 12-mile route.
Included with your registration fee are rest stops, mechanical support, tasty treats, a post-ride beverage at Luce Line Brewing, an entertaining in-person band, a food truck, comfy chairs, a dance floor and of course great camaraderie.
Ride Hiawatha also has a charitable focus. Free Bikes for Kids MN continues to be the ride’s charitable partner. Free Bikes for Kids MN also will be collecting bicycle donations. Bring your old bike and the Free Bikes for Kids MN crews will update the bikes for donation during the 2026 holiday season.
Tell all your biking friends to sign up for Ride Hiawatha. Then tell your friends to dig old bikes out of the corners of their garages for donation.
Thanks!
Alan Wichman
