The Ullr Ski, Bike & Social Club had a very good summer with most of the approximately 28 scheduled bike rides taking place, some starting earlier to avoid biking during the hottest part of the day. There were three cancellations due to weather.
We also had two multi-day events – Nisswa in early June with approximately 50 members staying at the Good Ol’ Days Resort to participate in a variety of summer activities. Later in June, 18 members did a rafting excursion on the Mississippi River with the Three Rivers Park District. In late August, 28 members spent a few days biking in Lanesboro, MN.
Ullrs held six summer picnics at Brookview Park in Golden Valley, averaging 60-plus attendees each.
A planning session was held in July to schedule a variety of hikes and selected dates for local ski outings for this 2022-23 fall and winter season. A multi-day ski trip to Granite Peak near Wausau,WI is scheduled for February 7– 9. The Ullr Club does not have a Western Ski trip planned for 2023.
