Saturday, July 8th, canoe/kayak the “Wild” St. Croix River.  OK, so the St. Croix River isn’t exactly “wild”, but it is wet and so far, this summer looks to be a hot one. Therefore, it’s time to get out on the water at Taylor’s Falls, Minnesota Interstate Park, 307 Hwy. 8.

Meet at 10 a.m. (launch time 10:30) at Canoe/Kayak Rental Shack inside the park on Minnesota side. A $5 daily park fee or a yearly pass is required. Rental cost $43.13 per canoe/kayak, $21.57 per person for 2 to a canoe. These are group rates. Checks made out to “Taylors Falls Canoe Rental” or the exact cash amount for payment. If you have your own canoe/kayak and want to join us, please do so.

For those needing a paddling partner, I will try to pair people up. We need to get a total of 10 canoes/kayaks to make this happen. There can be 3 in a canoe – $3.50 charge for an extra life jacket. If you have your own life jacket please bring it. Also, bring hat, gloves (or risk blisters from paddling), sunscreen, snacks and refreshments with you for the[masked] hour journey down to Osceola. (We have a 2:30 pm pick up time in Osceola.)
